Resident Services
Besides providing safe, quality, affordable housing to our residents, we also strive to enhance their quality of life and create opportunities for self-improvement. Our resident services department links tenants to resources they may need or services aimed at helping them reach economic self-sufficiency.
The Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) program is designed to help participants increase earned income, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance, and make progress toward achieving economic independence and housing self-sufficiency. For example, the ROSS coordinator may connect residents to adult education courses, financial literacy classes, mental health or substance abuse counseling, or job skills assessment and training programs.
The ROSS program is available to every resident of the housing authority who is at least age 18. Contact our ROSS coordinator at (276) 889-4910 ext. 118 for more information about the program.
